The National Watch & Clock Museum plans several special events each year. Events range from familiy sleepovers, food and beverage tastings, decade dances, special tours for NAWCC Members and Friends of the Museum, special educational events, and much more.

Upcoming Events
February 6, 2018 - March 2, 2018
From February 6 to March 2 the Museum will open its doors to members of the Lower Susquehanna Valley Modular Railroaders, who build, display, and operate layouts throughout Central Pennsylvania. This exhibit has been on display in the Museum for the last several years. This year another four feet have been added to the 40-foot display of previous years.

Pack a lunch and join the National Watch and Clock Museum for its Lunch “Time” presentation, “Reverse Painting on Glass” on Wednesday, February 14. Lee Davis, a 50-year member of the NAWCC, will discuss how circa 1820–60 clock tablets were reverse painted with gold leaf borders, stenciled designs, and transfers. If time permits, Davis will actually demonstrate gold leafing on glass. Click for more details

The National Watch & Clock Museum's Director, Noel Poirier, will present on the process of how one should go about making an object donation to a museum. What are the procedures, benefits, pitfalls, concerns, etc. that any museum donor should be aware of when considering making a donation to a museum.

Pack a lunch and join the National Watch and Clock Museum for its Lunch “Time” presentation, “The Antikythera Mechanism” on Wednesday, April 11. Noel Poirier, Museum Director, will discuss the ancient Antikythera Mechanism and the theories for its use and what it tells us about ancient timekeeping capabilities. Attendees will be able to examine the Museum's model based on drawings made by Dr. Derek de Solla Price during his study of bronze fragments in the early 1970's.
