Jim Michaels

Jim Michaels is the Director and Lead Watch Instructor for the NAWCC School of Horology. He is a Certified Master Watchmaker and studied watchmaking at the Chicago School of Watchmaking, the American Watchmakers Institute, Eastern New Mexico University, and earned a scholarship to study at the Watchmaker of Switzerland Technical Education Program. Jim was the founding director of the NAWCC School of Horology in 1995 and served as an instructor until 1999. He has owned several different watch and clock repair and jewelry stores in both Arizona and Pennsylvania. Jim has had a passion for teaching ever since he was a student instructor at Eastern New Mexico University and enjoys teaching others about the craft of watchmaking.
