- Evaluating the hairspring
- Removing the hairspring from the staff
- Truing the hairspring
- Straitening the hairspring
- Untangling the hairspring
- Reinstalling and regulating the hairspring
This workshop is for the advanced student or experienced watchmaker. All tools and materials will be supplied but the student is encouraged to bring their own tweezers. At the end of the workshop the student will have a greater understanding of the hairspring, its function and repair procedures.
The workshop will be held at the NAWCC School of Horology on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30. This includes two 15 minute breaks and 1½ hours for lunch. |
