Precision Regulator, c. 1908
Siegmund Riefler
Munich, Germany

Founded in 1841, Riefler made mathematical instruments and high-grade precision clocks. This fine, electrically wound wall regulator was installed in the Elgin National Watch Company and used to test their timepieces. The operation of the remontoir is visible via a crescent aperture in the dial.
