Isaac Newton Youngs was born in Johnstown, New York in 1793. At the age of fourteen he joined the Shaker Society where he eventually became the cheif clockmaker. The clock displayed here is a reproduction of Young's thirty-hour timepiece, No. 21, which he completed on May 12, 1840. Donated by Charles C. Badeau, NAWCC #41688 |
