NAWCC Chapters

The NAWCC supports over 170 chapters worldwide.

All members are welcome to join a chapter within the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors. Chapters provide camaraderie, learning opportunities, support for your interests, and the opportunity to meet people eager to buy and sell collectible timepieces.

A few large Chapters near metropolitan areas have hundreds of members; others have only a few dozen. Meetings may be held monthly or only several times a year. The type of meetings varies widely, from having a formal talk by a nationally known speaker, to informal workshops and demonstrations.

Lectures on a variety of horological subjects are always a part of NAWCC gatherings. All Chapters have access to over 150 excellent slide/tape and video programs. Chapter meetings usually include a Mart, where you may find hard to locate items to add to your collection.

Special Interest chapters, which focus on one particular facet of horology, usually meet a few times a year at regional or National NAWCC meetings, and they also provide members with fact-filled newsletters and individual support.

Special Projects

Many chapters elect to carry on certain special projects, such as hosting a National Convention, hosting or taking part in a regional, sponsoring classes in clock or watch work, publishing a chapter newsletter, rebuilding a public clock, etc.

A glimpse at the wide variety of chapter activities is available with each issue of the Bulletin in the “Chapter Highlights” section; a feature devoted to reporting chapter activities. Contact a chapter officer, listed below, in your geographical area or of interest to find out the next meeting date! Contact information can also be found in the “Chapter Highlights” section of the Bulletin.

Training & Education

Education is a very important part of NAWCC membership and many National, Regional, and Chapter activities provide opportunities for learning by those interested in the aspect of NAWCC envelope of programs. Training is provided by many Chapters in clock and watch repair via adult education or community colleges, the Suitcase training program is also available through Chapters which provides Headquarters trained instructors to teach clock repair courses at several different levels. The ultimate in training is offered at Headquarters where a wide varied of accredited courses is offered in both clock and watch repair. The NAWCC School of Horology is probably one of the finest, if not the finest school, currently in operation for teaching watch and clock repair. If you have interest in this area, your membership in NAWCC will help insure your spot in the class of your choice.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to take advantage of one of the greatest benefits of NAWCC membership!
